Melinda "Linda" Schwartz (born November 26, 1939) is the mother of Geoff and Joanne Schwartz, wife of Lou Schwartz, friend of Beverly Goldberg, Virginia Kremp and Essie Karp and a recurring character in The Goldbergs. She is portrayed by Mindy Sterling.
Story[]
Linda first appears in Season 5's We Didn't Start the Fire, when the Goldbergs go down to the Schwartz's house to celebrate Hanukkah. She appears again in The Goldberg Girls when Beverly becomes determined to form a friend group of Yentas (later named the "Frentas"). Since then, she has become a recurring character and is now one of Beverly's closest friends.
